An exciting update:

I recently received notification that my cozy mystery, Love’s New Start, was awarded the Catholic Writers Guild Seal of Approval for 3rd Quarter 2025.

An exciting update:

My short story, Old Coffee Pots and New Beginnings”, will be featured in Pilgrim Tales: a Catholic Writers’ Guild Short Story Anthology. More to come.

After a devastating family tragedy, Sarah Parker relocates from suburban Chicago to her hometown of Spindrift Bay, New York, with her adopted infant son, Adam. Grieving and navigating emotional scars from the past, Sarah leans on longtime friend and attorney Jared Everett for support. Their bond deepens as they face shared responsibilities and unresolved feelings. Back in Spindrift Bay, Sarah embraces a new life with her family, a part-time writing contract, and a business venture at the Main Street Emporium. Meanwhile, Jared confronts the superficiality of his current lifestyle and realizes he longs for deeper meaning and commitment, especially with Sarah. Compelled by faith and love, he plans to return home and rebuild his life. As Sarah and Jared’s professional paths intertwine during an embezzlement case involving her father’s firm, the possibility of love and healing reemerges. Treasures of the Heart is a tender and suspenseful cozy mystery set in the charming town of Spindrift, New York. Twenty-two years after a mysterious car accident claims the life of a man linked to a secretive antiquities group, unresolved questions resurface when Sarah Parker, a shop owner with a passion for collectibles, finds herself at the center of a tangled web of family secrets, lost coins, and a deepening romance. As Sarah and her best friend Cathy prepare for the town's fall festival, Sarah becomes intrigued by the estate of the Patterson family, whose historic home is set to be demolished. She sees an opportunity to uncover unique items for her shop, the Emporium, but soon discovers there’s more than furniture and figurines hidden in the house. A set of rare Revolutionary War obsidional coins has gone missing, and as she investigates, she learns that her own grandfather's WWII coin collection may also have been tampered with. Jared Everett, Sarah’s supportive boyfriend and a local attorney, shares her concern—especially as evidence suggests the two coin disappearances might be linked. Their relationship, already deepening, is tested by the reappearance of Alexandra Patterson, Jared’s former flame, whose motives remain unclear. As more clues surface—including a mysterious man sniffing around the Emporium and vague threats from unseen figures—Sarah and Jared must work together to unravel the mystery before someone gets hurt. The novel gracefully weaves together themes of love, legacy, trust, and faith. Sarah’s reflections on scripture, particularly Matthew 6:19–21, remind her, and the reader, that earthly treasures are fleeting, but the true treasures lie in the heart, in relationships, and in what endures beyond material wealth. With warmth, humor, and a touch of danger, Treasures of the Heart celebrates community, resilience, and the quiet strength found in unexpected places.

Life doesn’t come with a manual—but it certainly comes with unexpected twists, comical moments, and plenty of head-scratching situations. From forgotten passwords to tangled to-do lists, from spiritual questions to spilled coffee, God often shows up in the most ordinary of places—sometimes with a wink and a nudge. Finding God & Humor in Everyday Challenges is a light-hearted yet faith-filled collection of reflections that celebrates the divine in the daily. Through witty observations, relatable frustrations, and spiritual insights, this book invites you to pause, laugh, and consider how even life’s small stumbles can lead to deeper trust in God’s presence and plan. Each entry begins with a slice-of-life moment—something as simple as managing digital passwords or navigating a chaotic afternoon—and unpacks it with scriptural connections and thoughtful reflection. These stories are not just about surviving the modern world; they’re about thriving in it with grace, joy, and a sense of humor. This book encourages you to: •Look for the holy in the humdrum. •Laugh through the stress. •Embrace life’s quirks as spiritual lessons in disguise. •And above all, remember that God walks with us—even through the mental gymnastics of modern living. Whether you’re facing a full inbox, a long grocery line, or the deeper challenges of faith and purpose, may this book offer comfort, insight, and a well-timed chuckle. Because sometimes, the most profound moments come wrapped in laughter—and God's voice is easiest to hear when we're paying attention... and maybe even smiling.
